"For it is by grace you have been saved through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
We, with the universal Christian Church, we believe, teach and confess the universal creeds of the Church; The Apostles’ Creed, The Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed, concerning creation, redemption and sanctification through our Triune God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
As Lutherans we hold all the prophetic and apostolic Scriptures to be the inspired Word of God and the doctrine of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, drawn from them and confessed in Luther’s Small Catechism, to be faithful and true.
As a member church of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, we believe, teach and confess that in the Lord’s Supper we receive the true body and true blood of Jesus Christ which were given and shed on the cross for us for the forgiveness of sins in and with the bread and wine (Matthew 26:26-28;1 Corinthians 10:16). Whoever eats and drinks at the holy feast without recognizing the body and blood of Christ present, eats and drinks judgment on himself (1 Corinthians 11:27-29). Scripture tells us that communion is a statement of fellowship and harmony among those who participate (1 Corinthians 10:16-17; Acts 2:42). It is our policy that only those who have been instructed in these and all the teachings of the Bible, and have publicly declared agreement with them, may commune at our altars.
If you have any questions about our communion practice or about what we believe, teach and confess, our Pastor would be most willing to meet with you. Please call the church office (970) 874-3052.
